Using a leg press machine, the calf press workout helps build and work your calf muscles.

Actions to take:

1.) Assume a sitting position on a leg press machine and press the plate upwards in a leg press-like motion.

2.) Lower your feet so that your heels are dangling loose and the balls of your feet are in contact with the rack.

3.) Press up and flex your toes while keeping the handles locked, and then gradually pull them back towards your body (dorsiflex).

4.) To get the most out of these movements, move gently.

Advice:

1.) Until you are comfortable with the movements, use less weight for this exercise than you can lift with a leg press.
