One of the best workouts for developing the triceps is the lying tricep extension.

Using a barbell between your thighs take a seat at the end of a flat bench.

With your palms facing downward and your hands roughly shoulder width apart take an overhand grip on the barbell.

Laying on your back raise the bar to your chest. Straighten your arms and place them above your chest.

Skullcrusher got its moniker because you gently lower the bar until it’s about an inch from your forehead while keeping your elbows firmly planted and your elbows not pointing out.

After a little pause return your arms to the beginning position slowly.

Repeat for desired number of reps, being careful not to lock out your elbows.

It’s critical that you maintain your elbow flexion throughout the set. As you shift the weight your elbows will want to flare out so you have to keep them facing forward.

Control the weight and maintain a slow rep time.
