 Instructions for Raising the Legs of a Chair

Chair Leg Raise Guide and Instructions.

  • Leg raises in the Roman Chair work your lower abdominals. Place yourself in the Roman chair to begin the practice.
  • With your hands grasping the handles and your back against the back pad, position your forearms along the horizontal pads.
  • Remove your feet from  supports leaving them hanging. This is where you should begin the activity.
  • Lift your legs as high as you can while maintaining a straight posture with your feet and knees together.
  • Lower yourself back to the starting position after pausing for one or more counts.
  • Continue till you reach the required number of reps.

Leg Raise Advice:

  • Your abs will work harder the longer you hold your legs up throughout each rep. To make the workout more difficult, increase the hold.
