  • If using a twin cable machine turn the pulleys down to the lowest position and choose the weight you want to utilize.
  • With your back to the machine take a stand and place your hands on opposing grips.
  • With your arms crossed in front of you, stand erect. The weight should be off the stack to a little extent. The movement officially began at this point.
  • Raise your elbows to a semi-circle and spread your arms apart.
  • When your hands reach about shoulder height, stop and gradually return the weight to the beginning position.
  • Keep going until you’ve completed the necessary amount of reps. 

Tips for Cable Lateral Raise

  • Form is more crucial than weight in this isolated exercise.
  • Throughout the exercise maintain a high elbow position.
  • Since you raise the weight avoid raising your hands, since this will engage your front delts in the workout.
